A Good Night’s Sleep and Air Quality are Related?

Yes, you read that title right.  A bad night’s sleep can be caused by the air that you breathe during the day.  Did you ever go to the great outdoors, whether it be the beach, for a hike or a long bike ride and come home exhausted, but the minute your head hits the pillow and you wake up you feel like you haven’t slept at all.  Yup, we have all been there.  In the past we blamed it on not being comfortable or your partner snoring but, it really could have been all because you were outside breathing in contaminated air.  According to new research presented at the ATS 2017 International Conference nitrogen dioxide and particulate exposure over an expanded duration of time can effect your ability to get a good night’s sleep by up to 60%.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.

I never thought about this! We have put a couple of air purifiers in the house to clean the air. But I never thought about the air we breathe during the day out there. Good advice! I will keep in mind!
